Design of aerodynamic related components for Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) testing
Create a surface part and assembly CAD files for use in CFD testing
Create solid part CAD files to be 3D printed for wind tunnel testing.
Create part drawing CAD files for documentation and communication purposes.
Keep CAD models current with NASCAR rule changes
Participate in wind tunnel tests as appropriate when parts designed are being tested.
Propose new aerodynamic concepts to test for improving downforce, drag, and side force on
Develop test plans and complete testing, if needed, on part designs to make into production
Education and Work Experience:
BS in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Industrial Design required.
Typically requires at least 3+ years of design software experience specialising is surface part
modeling and including solid part modeling.
A knowledge of reverse engineering
Experience in motor sports racing is required.
